Extension Services Department

History 

 In 1952 Mudliyar Commission recommended to Government of India to give the inservice training under special scheme. On that basis, Govt. of India established 54 Extension Service Centres all over India, one of them was at Tialk College of Education. This Extension Service Deparment was established in 1957 of September, 1st. It was the first centre for any private college in Maharashtra.

Objectives 

 
  • To guide the secondary school teachers to enhance the educational competencies. 
  • To organize the orientation programme for secondary school teachers about the new trends in education.

Scope

All primary and secondary school teachers of Pune district.

Regular Activities

Department regularly organizes various orientations, workshops, seminars on various subjects, conducts innovative practice competition of the school teachers at district level, Special Orientation programs on newly introduced syllabus.
